For the first time in Nancy, I was very surprised by its beauty. I didn’t know about “École de Nancy” (Nancy School), a group of Art Nouveau artists who made the city a pleasure for building gazers such as myself. Here and there I had some strong Barcelona vibes. It helped I was there on Saint Patrick’s Day, Friday 17th – at night, the streets were crowded and noisy. On Saturday the city subsided into its normal, calmer size (about 100,000). I ate a “gâteau” (cake) that turned out to be the best I had in my life – and I was back in France. Place Stanislas, UNESCO World Heritage. Nancy, 2017
